On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax is a full length album by the post-hardcore band Alesana. Originally put out in 2006 by Tragic Hero Records, it was re-released in March 2007 on Fearless Records. It holds many analogies to Greek Mythology and the Medieval ages. The Title refers to the Greek myth concerning Icarus whose wax wings melted when he tried to reach the sun.
